Q. What does Cedar Point Communications do?
A.
Cedar Point Communications, a leader in voice switching technology, has created and commercialized the SAFARI C³™ Media Switching System, an entirely new category of voice switching equipment. Founded by telephony and data veterans, Cedar Point has assembled a management team and an Advisory Board that also include service provider operations, broadband communications and manufacturing experts.

Q. Why develop the ServiceClass Partner Program?
A.
Carriers and cable operators need end-to-end solutions to generate new revenue growth, and enterprise networks and educational institutions need reliable VoIP solutions to drive down communications costs and improve productivity and user satisfaction levels. Technology companies need to work closely together to provide the necessary integration that will allow network operators to rapidly implement a highly cost-effective, scalable and reliable service offering. The ServiceClass and IOT Partner Programs brings best-in-class technology leaders and their products and services together into a set of standards-based packaged solutions to meet customer demands.

Q. What is the process to join?
A.
First, you need to complete the application. If you are interested in partnering with Cedar Point and would like an application, please send your request to partners@cedarpointcom.com. Upon approval, you will be brought into the ServiceClass or IOT Program.

Q. Does it cost anything to join?
A.
There is no fee to become a ServiceClass Partner. However, acceptance in the program requires an on-going Partner commitment to provide products, support, and strategic cooperation. Vendors can become IOT qualified based on a Customer request and/or paying a nominal fee for testing services.

Q. What are the benefits of the ServiceClass Program?
A.
Ultimately the benefit is bringing overall end-to-end solutions to the market. Becoming a ServiceClass or IOT Partner positions your products and/or services for potential commercial deployment with the industry-leading integrated voice switching solution—SAFARI C³. Our ServiceClass Integration Lab performs interoperability testing in real-world environments, increasing customer confidence in the overall scalability and reliability of VoIP and multimedia solutions.

Q. What is needed for interoperability testing?
A.
Cedar Point will hold a technical review meeting to identify the correct test plans that will be performed, the equipment that needs to be provided and the required support levels. As part of the interoperability test agreement we require that potential partners provide their equipment for the duration of the testing. As appropriate, we will require a representative onsite to help turn-up and train the lab personnel on your equipment. Once completed, a full and confidential testing report will be provided. Given the exposure the ServiceClass Integration Lab creates and the ongoing interoperability tests for future major releases, there is tremendous value in continuing to keep your equipment in the Lab for ongoing testing and proof of interoperability.

Q. What are the requirements to maintain ServiceClass or IOT Partner Status?
A.
This requires that your major releases have been submitted for interoperability testing and have successfully passed.
